OmniVision® is an innovative, owner-managed family pharmaceutical company specialising in the field of ophthalmology.
Our main focus lies in the development and marketing of ophthalmological medications for patients, ophthalmologists and pharmacists.
From the very beginning, OmniVision® has aimed to offer a wide range of high-quality, affordable products. Over the years, our product portfolio has grown steadily to the point where we now cover all of the principal ophthalmological indications. From over-the-counter dry eye and allergy preparations to antibiotic and anti-inflammatory therapy and glaucoma therapy, we are now in a position to supply the most important therapeutic fields in ophthalmology.
Based on our rapid and highly efficient decision-making process, we are also capable of identifying and realising urgently needed niche products that multinational corporations cannot supply due to the low turnover volumes involved. These products are often indispensable for the affected patients who, in many cases for lack of therapeutic alternatives, require them to treat their specific conditions.
As a medium-sized family company we place a lot of value on employee-oriented policies, a good working environment and individual support. We operate on a daily basis with the aim of maintaining and improving the ‘joy of seeing’ – always to the benefit of our patients.

OmniVision®: our history
OmniVision® was founded in late 2003 by Burkhardt Hoffmann. Mr Hoffmann’s decades of experience in the pharmaceutical field, in particular ophthalmology, combined with an excellent network of relationships and entrepreneurial enthusiasm, moved him to found OmniVision®.
In past years, the company has continued to expand its product portfolio and has assumed market leadership positions in several indications. In Germany, the company ranks among the five leading ophthalmological companies.
Company growth has been mainly organic via new products and national markets. In addition to the headquarters in Puchheim near Munich, Germany, additional branch operations have now been established in Switzerland, Austria and Italy. Our products are sold by distributors in other countries within and outside of Europe. For several years now Mr Hoffmann’s son Patrick has been active in the management of the company. Both the Hoffmanns currently manage the corporate group.
