Wetting Agents and Artificial Tears: OmniVision® Products
Wetting agents containing hyaluronic acid, such as Hylo-Vision® eye drops, do your eyes a power of good. The hyaluronic acid treatment wets the eye surface (that is, cornea and conjunctiva) in a way very similar to the body’s own tear fluid. Hyaluronic acid is tolerated well, as it is a natural substance. Furthermore, these eye drops promote cornea regeneration and thus speed up healing of smaller damages of the eye.
Eye drops containing hyaluronic acid: OmniVision® can supply you with a number of different eye drops containing hyaluronic acid for the treatment of dry eyes, such as Hylo-Vision® HD eye drops, Hylo-Vision® HD plus eye drops, Hylo-Vision® sine eye drops, Hylo-Vision® Gel sine eye drops, Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® eye drops, Hylo-Vision® SafeDrop® Gel eye drops and Hylo-Vision® Gel multi eye drops. Many of these wetting agents do not contain preservatives. Eye drops containing hyaluronic acid (with or without preservatives) may also be used while wearing contact lenses. Please also refer to the patient information leaflet.

Artificial tears: So-called artifical tears have a slightly different composition but a similar effect. Artificial tears lubricate the cornea to replace the tear film and adjust the fluid balance.
OmniVision® is offering a large range of products to replace the tear film with artificial tears. These are Lacri-Vision® eye drops, Pan-Vision® eye drops, OmniTears® eye lid spray, Visco-Vision® Gel and Vit-A-Vision® eye ointment. Please note that some of these products may not be used while wearing soft contact lenses. Please also refer to the patient information leaflet.
